Congratulations @mavs_football @archbishopmccarthy on finishing off the regular season last Friday night with a hard-fought 31-28 win over a quality opponent in @thekingsacademy.

With the win, @mavs_football qualified for the playoffs in their 1st year playing in a District against some of south Florida’s big boys: @miami_norland_football @ahspatriotfootball @plantationfootball.

This team overcame huge odds and plenty of adversity, including season-ending injuries to numerous key players and the chaos of south Florida weather, to finish with an impressive 6-4 record.

It’s a tremendous credit to the players, coaches, trainers, and managers who worked so hard all year battling through tough times, working tirelessly, staying together, and persevering to make the 2024 season a success.

@mavs_football is undoubtedly on its way to becoming one of the premier programs in Florida and beyond! In just 2 short years, The Arch has gone from a 2-7 independent team (2022) to qualifying for The State Playoffs in one of the toughest Districts in the nation!

With only 9 Seniors graduating, and a roster laden with young talent, the future is as bright as ever for The Mavs. The Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior classes are loaded with fine young men, and, most importantly, good students that work their tails off and care deeply for one other.

The Foundation could not be more proud of what these young men and their coaches have accomplished and cannot wait to see the how far this program can go in the future…
